DeMarcus Cousins: 'Elbow wasn't intentional'
DeMarcus Cousins - F/C - Sacramento Kings
Jan. 11, 2013 - 4:00 PM ET

Following Thursday's loss to the Mavericks, Demarcus Cousins said the Flagrant 2 elbow that got him ejected "wasn't intentional."

With 41 seconds left in overtime, Cousins put a forearm right into the throat/head of Vince Carter away from the ball. He admitted that he's facing a suspension from the league office. "I'm pretty sure that my reputation will come into play with this decision," Cousins said. "But hopefully they realize that it wasn't intentional." The petulant mega-talent was suspended for one game in mid-December after taking a cheap shot at O.J. Mayo. Owners should at least be prepared for another short-term ban.
