Lou Williams starts at SG for banged-up Hawks
Lou Williams - G - Atlanta Hawks
Dec. 23, 2012 - 2:50 PM ET

Lou Williams made his first start of the season on Saturday, scoring 16 points on 6-of-12 shooting with three 3-pointers, four rebounds, three assists and one block in 31 minutes.

It remains to be seen whether Sweet Lou will become the every-night starter, or whether this was a temporary reaction to the absence of Devin Harris (foot) and DeShawn Stevenson (back). Larry Drew said he wanted his team "to get some energy ... to play faster, play more up-tempo," which plays to Lou's strengths, and the fact that Atlanta blew out the Bulls should help his cause. He needs to be owned by virtue of the fact that he's a solid mid-round value in 8- and 9-cat formats.
