Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com reports that the Mariners have made a multi-year offer to free agent catcher Miguel Olivo.
The Denver Post's Troy Renck caught word of a two-year, $7.5 million offer to Olivo earlier Wednesday evening, and it's quite possible that it came from Seattle. Olivo posted a pedestrian .269/.315/.449 overall batting line in 2010, but he had a .325 average, 11 home runs and 42 RBI in the first half of the season. The M's will be hoping for more of that.
