McDaniels' job not necessarily safe after all
Broncos Offense - TM - Denver Broncos
Nov. 30, 2010 - 8:55 AM ET

After Broncos owner Pat Bowlen told AOL Fanhouse's Thomas George in a phone interview that coach Josh McDaniels will be back in 2011, the team has now issued a release that contradicts that statement.

Among other things, Bowlen said in the statement, "... with five games left in the 2010 season, we will continue to monitor the progress of the team and evaluate what's in the best interest of this franchise." Bowlen did not address the AOL Fanhouse story in the statement. So, it appears McDaniels isn't safe after all. He has five more weeks to prove to Bowlen that he's still the man for the job.
