Dustin Johnson thrashed Pebble Beach for a 9-under-par 30-33=63 in his opening round of the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, finishing with a share of the overnight lead with Danny Lee and Charlie Wi.

The two-time champion of this event wasn't bogey-free due to a 4 at the par-3 12th hole but he executed nearly flawlessly the rest of the round. He hit 13 (of 14) fairways and 14 greens, and required just 24 putts. Among his highlights were eagles from 41 yards and 64 feet at the third and sixth holes, respectively. He also rattled in an 18-footer for birdie at the 15th hole, one of six on the day. DJ will slide over to play Spyglass Hill in his second round.
