Waiters benched Sunday for unknown reasons

Byron Scott confirmed that his decision to bench Dion Waiters in the fourth quarter on Sunday was based upon Waiters' performance, and not because of his recent thigh injury.
Waiters wasn't sure what he did to miff Scott, but Donald Sloan and Daniel Gibson were Scott's preferred options in the fourth quarter. As reported by beat writer Jason Lloyd, "Asked if it was Gibson's hot hand or an issue with Waiters, Scott merely said, 'Little bit of both. We'll leave it at that.'"
