Mets narrow GM search to Alderson, Byrnes

The Mets have narrowed their GM search to two candidates: former A's executive Sandy Alderson and former Diamondbacks GM Josh Byrnes.
Alderson put together some fantastic teams during the 80s and 90s with the A's and is working currently with a commission that is trying to clean up the corruption in youth baseball down in the Dominican Republic. He's probably the frontrunner for the Mets' gig, but Byrnes is young and intelligent and has been linked to several clubs since the Diamondbacks let him go this year.
