Rangers likely to lock Daniels up long-term

Jim Bowden of FOX Sports Radio believes that the Rangers will announce a long-term contract for GM Jon Daniels once their postseason run is over.
The Mets had some interest in bringing Daniels in for an interview and possibly making him Omar Minaya's replacement, but he has a very likable situation in Texas and probably won't want to head to an organization that needs major tweaking. The 33-year-old led the Rangers to their first-ever ALCS appearance this season and is surrounded by young talent.
