Eagles may lose DT Bunkley for rest of year

Eagles DT Brodrick Bunkley's season is in jeopardy due to a torn elbow ligament, coach Andy Reid revealed Monday.
He'll need surgery on the elbow for sure, but the Birds haven't constructed a recovery timetable yet. Bunkley doesn't put up much production (nine tackles), but is the Eagles' truest run stopper up the middle. His loss isn't a good combo with MLB Stewart Bradley also struggling. One of Bunkley's primary tasks is to keep blockers off the middle linebacker behind him.
