Lupul blames himself for his concussion
Joffrey Lupul - W - Toronto Maple Leafs
April 15, 2013 - 10:30 AM ET

Joffrey Lupul feels responsible for the hit that caused his concussion.

Lupul suffered the injury on April 4 when he was struck by Philadelphia Flyers forwards Adam Hall and Jay Rosehill. "I was a little bit disappointed with myself for putting myself in the situation to take that hit," Lupul said. "I knew who I was on the ice with and where the puck was, and I thought I located both those guys, but I did not see which way Rosehill was coming so, I take responsibility for that. You have to protect yourself out there and I should have protected myself. Those two guys should not be taking me out of the lineup." Lupul is close to returning to the Leafs' lineup, but he won't play on Monday.
