The Buffalo Sabres announced the signing of college free agent Chad Ruhwedel on Saturday and he'll make his NHL debut against Philadelphia this afternoon.
He inked a two-year, entry-level contract with the Sabres after three years with UMass-Lowell. Interim coach Ron Rolston isn't sure who Ruthwedel will play alongside. Buffalo will play him rather than use one of their minor-league call-ups with Tyler Myers done for the season.
