Dodgers manager Joe Torre told ESPNNewYork.com that he would listen if the Mets came calling this winter.
"Oh there's no question," Torre said Monday at Yankee Stadium. "That's why I didn't shut the door." It's an intriguing possibility, but Torre's asking price is likely to be too high and the Mets aren't in position to be a contender as currently constructed. Frankly, it's surprising Torre even commented on the scenario, considering that Jerry Manuel is still in the manager's chair.
