Luke List wins South Georgia Classic by two
May 2, 2012 - 4:10 PM ET

Luke List claimed his first Nationwide Tour victory by two-strokes over Brian Stuard at the South Georgia Classic when he signed for a 4-under-par 34-34=68 in the final round.

List finished the week at 16-under 67-68-69-68=272 on the strength of 77.8 percent GIR, which tied him for sixth in the field. He also ranked first in driving distance at 329 yards, which is significant because this is the longest course on the Nationwide Tour schedule. He moves from 13th to second on the money list with $175,448. His previous best finish was a second place tie at the Panama Claro Championship earlier this season. He will now head up the road to Athens, GA for the Stadion Classic at UGA, where a victory would assure him the money needed to grab a PGA TOUR card for 2013.
