James Neal left Friday's game against the Rangers after taking an elbow to the head.

In the third period, Neal was on his way to hitting defenseman Michael Del Zotto, who was shielding the puck, when the blueliner awkwardly stuck out both elbows and landed one right to Neal's head. Neal needed to be helped off the ice. Coach Dan Bylsma didn't have an update after the game. Neal has 18 goals and 32 points on the season.
