The Dallas Stars have traded Jaromir Jagr to the Boston Bruins in exchange for prospects Lane MacDermid, Cody Payne and a conditional second-round pick.
Jagr is the biggest name traded out of Dallas as the Stars continue to sell off their veterans in exchange for picks and prospects. His 14 goals and 26 points both lead the Stars at the time of this trade and he should be an immediate boost to Boston's sagging power play, which has been in the bottom third of the league all season long. MacDermid has played in just three games this season and has spent the majority of the year as a healthy scratch. Payne has 24 goals and 45 points in his second season with the Plymouth Whalers of the Ontario Hockey League.
