After his team was clobbered 5-1 by the Columbus Blue Jackets Friday night, veteran Calgary goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff angrily sprinted off the ice and into the Flames' dressing room.
"It was a tough night,'' he complained, masking his digust admirably. "As a goalie, five goals ... no excuses. But I think they did get quite (a few) quality chances tonight. There's no point in pointing fingers. We're a team. Five goals ... a tough game for a goalie, for sure.'' The Flames themselves certainly weren't about to throw their meal-ticket puck-stopper under the bus. "Blame him? No,'' said defenseman Jay Bouwmeester. "There's not too many (games) you can." Still, on a bad team, Kiprusoff has been very shaky in his past two games (10 goals) and you can't help but wonder if perhaps his best days are behind him.
