Martin Brodeur turned aside 17 of 18 shots in addition to being credited with a goal in the Devils' 4-1 win over Carolina Thursday.
The veteran couldn't really have asked for a better return from injury, even if the goal he was credited with was actually a wayward Carolina pass that went into their own goal on a delayed penalty. The Devils have some work to do to secure a playoff spot, but the Brodeur's return certainly helps their chances.
