Johan Santana left Thursday's game against the Braves after five innings due to a strained pectoral muscle.
Santana threw only 65 pitches before being pulled from the ballgame. He allowed only three hits and one earned run while striking out three batters against one walk. The Mets are calling him "day-to-day" for now, but a pectoral strain is not a minor injury and he could miss a start or two.
