Lee gets injection for back, next start TBD

Cliff Lee flew back to Texas Wednesday to receive an injection that is designed to relieve lower back stiffness.
Perhaps the back issue partly explains Lee's poor performance in the month of August (6.35 ERA in seven outings). He is currently scheduled to make his next start on Tuesday, but that could change based on how his body responds to the pain-killing injection. He will work out Thursday in Arlington, Texas and will rejoin the Rangers Friday in Minnesota.
