Eric Selleck will have a hearing with the Department of Player Safety on Wednesday afternoon following an incident that took place during his big-league debut Tuesday night against Carolina.
He could face discipline for leaving the players' bench on a legal line change for the purpose of starting or joining an altercation and for instigating a fight in the final five minutes of regulation time. The latter infraction carries an automatic one-game suspension. Selleck was given 17 minutes in penalties at the 17:02 mark of the third period when he fought Carolina's Kevin Westgarth. He was also beat up pretty good in the bout and will receive concussion tests in New York.
