S. Gonchar extends point streak to 8 games

Sergei Gonchar continued his current hot streak with a goal and two assists in Ottawa's 5-3 victory versus the Islanders Tuesday night.
He stretched his point spree to eight straight games. Gonchar has amassed 13 points over that span. Fellow Senators defender Patrick Wiercioch contributed three helpers against the Islanders, while Guillaume Latendresse finished the match with an empty-net goal and an assist.
