Lee ends awful August with another poor start

Cliff Lee allowed seven runs -- four earned -- in 4 2/3 innings Tuesday as the Rangers lost to the Royals.
The left-hander has allowed 27 earned runs in his last five starts. He ends August with a 1-4 record and 6.35 ERA in seven outings. Lee will be given an extra day off before his next start, rest he could certainly use at this point. The Rangers are way out in front in the American League West, so their priority will be to best position Lee for October. He is still a must-start in all formats.
