Dan Ellis solid in loss on Monday

Dan Ellis stopped 35 of 36 shots in a 2-1 Carolina shootout loss to the New York Rangers Monday night.
Ellis was solid tonight in the loss but it was not enough. It seemed that the Hurricanes would turn to Ellis to serve as their number one goaltender with Cam Ward sidelined with a knee injury but Justin Peters should continue to get starts as well. It's a situation worth monitoring if you need help between the pipes while Ward is on the shelf.
