Canucks defenseman Jason Garrison was surprisingly not used by coach Alain Vigneault during a 5-on-3 power play last nearly 90 seconds in Saturday's 5-2 loss to Detroit.
Garrison may have his flaws on the defensive end of the ice, but a two-man advantage would seem to be a perfect situation to deploy the offensive-minded blueliner. "I think those guys have played on the power play a long time, and they know each other well and they know the plays," Garrison said. "But I'm always willing to help." Those hoping a move to the Canucks would allow Garrison to take another step forward after last years breakout are certainly disappointed in his development and it's hard to believe his role will change in the near future.
