Left wing Curtis Glencross couldn't have drawn up a better script for Calgary Flames Western Night if he were Francis Ford Coppola or Oliver Stone.
A cattle rancher and chuckwagon barn hand in the off-season, Glencross made it rain cowboy hats with a third-period hat-trick to lead Calgary to a 6-3 win Friday over the Nashville Predators. "It was kind of neat," a beaming Glencross said. "After I got the second one, I said, `it would be kind of neat to see a bunch of cowboy hats come on the ice." And they did, but Glencross didn't collect them as souvenirs. "Ah, I don't need any more," he said. "Just dust magnets, dust collectors. I don't need any more in the closet."
