Dan Ellis made 31 saves Saturday night in the Hurricanes' 6-3 win over the Devils.
It looked like it was going to be a cakewalk for Ellis, but he then gave up two early goals in the third as the Devils pulled to within 5-3. The offense will be there for this team, but the question remains how well the netminders will perform in Cam Ward's absence. Since he was sidelined, the 'Canes are 2-1-0, and they're in the midst of a 5-1-0 streak.
