Coach Carlyle likes Komarov's versatility
Leo Komarov - W - Toronto Maple Leafs
March 9, 2013 - 2:20 PM ET

Leo Komarov is third in the NHL with 105 hits in 25 games this campaign, but he's also been pretty good when called upon in the faceoff circle.

He's lost just 12 times on 33 draws for a 63.6 percent success rate. "I played a lot of center when I was younger," said Komarov. "Maybe the last time I was 18. Then after that I only played when I was needed. But I like playing center. You get the puck more." The 26-year-old rookie has proven to be a versatile player for coach Randy Carlyle. He has an agitating style on the ice, but the room he creates hasn't translated into much offense for himself with one goal and four assists so far.
