The Bruins are hoping to add Carl Soderberg to their roster after the Swedish Elite League season ends, according to TSN's Darren Dreger.
Dreger says the two sides are "closing in" on an agreement. Soderberg, 27, is Boston property after being dealt from the Blues for Hannu Toivonen. The earliest Soderberg would join the NHL club is after his SEL team, Linkoping, ends its playoff run. Dreger notes that an NHL team says Soderberg, who is 6-foot-3, 225 pounds, "is a solid second-line center," but the Bruins like his ability to play wing, too. Soderberg is one of the best players in Sweden with 31 goals and 60 points in 54 games.
