Johan Hedberg finally snaps losing streak

Johan Hedberg stopped 23 of 25 shots for the Devils in a 3-2 shootout win over Buffalo Thursday.
This contest appeared it was going to be the eighth consecutive loss for Hedberg until his teammates bailed him out with two late goals to tie the score. He will continue to be the Devils primary netminder during Martin Brodeur's absence, which is scheduled to last a few more weeks.
