The Reds have moved Mike Leake to the bullpen in an effort to limit his innings.
We've heard quite a bit of chatter about this recently, but Homer Bailey's impressive outing against the Marlins on Sunday clinched it. "Obviously, I'd rather go every fifth day," said Leake. "But it will be fun to throw out of the 'pen ' as long as I can do something to help the team." Leake has thrown 135 2/3 innings this season and the Reds are reportedly shooting for somewhere around 170 innings. The rookie right-hander has a 5.60 ERA over his last 11 starts anyway, so it's not like he was helping fantasy owners, but go ahead and dump him in mixed leagues.
