Predators can't overcome early deficits
Barry Trotz - C - Nashville Predators
March 7, 2013 - 10:40 AM ET

The Nashville Predators are one of the worst teams in the league when the opposing team scores first.

The Predators are just 1-9-0 when they fall behind 1-0. It's probably not a coincidence that they're also the worst team in the league offensively, averaging just 1.96 goals per game. "We have to play a certain way, strong defensively, and then generate our chances afterwards," Shea Weber said. "If other teams happen to score first, we might get away from that too much, and obviously that hurts us in the long run, not playing our system." Despite that, Nashville is still very much in the race for a playoff spot with a 9-9-5 record this season.
