Gerhart totals 28 yards in debut

Toby Gerhart rushed eight times for 24 yards and added two receptions for four yards against the Rams in Saturday's preseason opener.
The Vikings offensive line got pushed around in the running game, just like last season. Albert Young started the game and rushed six times for -7 yards. Gerhart had a nice 22-yard run but added nothing beyond that. He had been outplayed by Young in training camp, so it was nice to see him gain some ground.
