John Tavares overcomes illness Sunday

John Tavares wasn't feeling well throughout the weekend due to an illness, but he managed to play Sunday versus Ottawa.
Tavares provided the Islanders with 3-2 shootout victory with a pretty goal in the breakaway challenge. He admitted to feeling tired and hungry after barely eating for two days, but he finished the contest with four shots and a plus-1 rating during his 19:13 of ice time.
