Chris Conner is happy to be back in his home state of Michigan after signing a two-way contract with the Red Wings.
Conner will either make Detroit or play for Grand Rapids of the AHL. He had seven goals and 16 points in 60 games for Pittsburgh last season so he is more than capable of playing in the NHL but Detroit is deep in talent up front so he may need an injury to play in the show. Look for the diminutive winger to start the season in the AHL and get called up with the first injury up front.
