Cam Ward leaves game after collision

Carolina goaltender Cam Ward left Sunday's contest against the Panthers in the second period after being involved in a collision with teammate Justin Faulk.
The fact he was forced from the game and had to be replaced by backup Dan Ellis certainly isn't a good sign, but we don't want to speculate about his condition without any official word from the team. We'll pass along more information as it becomes available.
