Report: K-Rod arrested for 'slugging' in-law
Aug. 12, 2010 - 12:30 AM ET

According to the New York Post, Mets closer Francisco Rodriguez was arrested on Wednesday at Citi Field for assaulting his father-in-law.

The altercation took place inside Citi Field's Family Lounge and spilled out into the hallway. K-Rod's father-in-law apparently suffered "facial bruises and minor head injuries," and had to be hospitalized. Francisco could be in real trouble and may be in danger of missing games. Save chances could go to a variety of different relievers if K-Rod does needs to miss time. He has been charged with third-degree assault, so that seems likely.
