Francis Bouillon was afraid that a canceled season meant his career was over.
The 37-year-old has instead played his 500th game with the Habs, and he'll play his 700th sometime next week. It's been a career full of overcoming adversity for the defenseman, who has had knee surgery, a groin injury and a concussion. Oh yeah, and he was never drafted in junior, either. "I was really worried during the lockout," he said this week. "I have a one-year contract and I thought that if they cancelled the season, I wouldn't have an opportunity to show that I could play." Bouillion is averaging about 19 minutes a game, has four assists and a plus-six rating.
