Missing O'Reilly might push Iginla to market

The Calgary Flames attempt to get Ryan O'Reilly might have been about trying to keep Jarome Iginla.
If Colorado had declined to match Calgary's offer sheet on O'Reilly, then he could have been a great center to pair up with Iginla. It might have also helped turned the Flames' fortunes around and enticed Iginla to re-sign with the team. As it is, Iginla might ultimately want to go elsewhere when his contract expires this summer so that he can play with a contender. If Calgary suspects that will happen, they might attempt to trade him before the deadline to avoid losing their star forward for nothing.
