Jonas Gustavsson wins in first start of year

Jonas Gustavsson was sturdy in net with 25 saves on Thursday night in Detroit's 2-1 shootout win against San Jose.
Jimmy Howard got the start on Wednesday night, so it was the backup's turn. It was actually only Gustavsson's first start (third appearance) of the season as he'd been dealing with a groin injury. In 42 tilts last year, he had a 2.92 goals-against average and .902 save percentage.
