Boudreau: Detroit move to East is good thing

Anaheim Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau likes the idea of moving the Detroit Red Wings to the Eastern Conference in the new realignment plan.
"It really helps out a lot of teams," Boudreau said. "It keeps you in the same time zone for the most part. I know for a guy who was out east and came to the west, I found it quite taxing to keep going through time zones." It should also help Detroit, which has to make frequent trips to the west coast. However, some teams will miss the rivalry and the opportunity to play against a high-profile, storied franchise like Detroit on a more regular basis.
