The Los Angeles Kings traded Simon Gagne to the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday in exchange for a conditional fourth-round draft pick.
Gagne has spent much of this season in the press box for the Kings, who are unlikely to miss him on the ice. However, Gagne could be a definite help to the Flyers, who desperately need more scoring on the wing with Matt Read (ribs) out. Gagne spent the first 10 years of his NHL career in Philly and made two All-Star teams as a Flyer. He's been besieged by injuries ever since his final years with the Flyers, though, and his fantasy value is still limited. For now, owners in deeper leagues could take a chance on Gagne, but he's still more of a watch-and-see prospect despite the change of scenery.
