Tomas Kundratek getting his chances with Caps

Tomas Kundratek logged a career-high 23:25 of ice time in Sunday's 2-1 loss to the New York Rangers.
He was presented with the opportunity to play alongside Karl Alzner in the contest because of Mike Green's lower-body injury and for the most part coach Adam Oates though he did a good job. Kundratek wants to improve his play in the defensive zone and his minus-7 rating shows that it may be a working progress. He has also posted four assists and 12 shots in 14 games this season.
