The Nationals will split ninth-inning duties between Drew Storen, Tyler Clippard and Sean Burnett now that Matt Capps is out of the picture.
Storen has already been labeled the "closer of the future" in Washington and should have a firm grasp on the role by the end of this season, but the Nats are going to ride the hot hand for now. Capps, who collected 26 saves in 30 chances for the Nationals, was dealt to the Twins late Thursday night for catcher Wilson Ramos and left-hander Joe Testa.
