Coach Brad Childress confirmed that Adrian Peterson will play a bigger role on third downs this season.
This has been a subject of speculation since Chester Taylor's exit, but it's nice to see confirmation from the head coach. Peterson already doubled his career-high in receptions last year, and he should see another uptick in 2010. Once considered a much better value in standard scoring leagues, Peterson could flirt with 50-55 receptions this season. Toby Gerhart will be utilized as a more traditional backup.
