After an extended off-season, Taylor Hall is ready to improve in his sophomore season of NHL play.
"I'm not expecting a huge jump by any means, but I am expecting to be a major contributor this year," he said. "Improving a lot of things defensively ' my plus-minus wasn't that great last year ' and, obviously, offensively, I think just being more used to the systems and the way they play in the NHL's going to help out a lot." He missed the final 17 games of the 2010-11 campaign after suffering an ankle injury, but has been training for about three and a half months in preparation for this year.
