The Chicago Blackhawks earned a 4-1 victory over the slumping San Jose Sharks to improve to 11-0-3 this season.
With points in 14 consecutive games to start the season, Chicago is just two shy of the record set by the Anaheim Ducks in 2006-07. Anaheim went on to win the Stanley Cup that season, so it's certainly not a bad association to make. If nothing else, with 29% of their season in the books, the Blackhawks have given themselves a ton of breathing room in the playoff race.
