Brian Boyle returns, plays better
Brian Boyle - C - New York Rangers
Feb. 15, 2013 - 10:15 AM ET

Brian Boyle played Thursday like he never wants to return to the press box again.

Boyle was scratched for the last three games. Even though he didn't find the score sheet, Boyle was noticeably more engaged and was rewarded with 16:54 of ice time. He had five shots on goal and finished a minus-one. "I think it was a little bit better," Boyle, who still has just one assist in 10 games this season, said of his overall game. "I still want to make more of a difference and put the puck in the net. I had a few more chances. It was a better. [Coach John Tortorella] thinks I'm a better player than what I'm showing. I agree. He's holding me accountable."
