Kings could attempt to acquire Simon Gagne

After falling short in their bid to sign free agent Ilya Kovalchuk, the Los Angeles Kings might turn their attention to prying Simon Gagne away from Philadelphia.
Philadelphia is reportedly looking to part ways with Gagne, but their have been conflicting reports as to whether or not Gagne has waived his no-trade clause. The Kings were believed to be the frontrunners in the Ilya Kovalchuk sweepstakes, but he ended up re-signing with the Devils. The Tampa Bay Lightning are also reportedly interested in Gagne's services. We'll keep you posted.
