Rene Bourque may have gotten the overtime game-winner Thursday, but Alex Galchenyuk received just as much praise for his contribution to it.
The rookie fired the pass that Bourque redirected for the win. The fact he's even receiving ice time during overtime says a lot about the coach Michel Therrien's confidence in him. "That's part of the learning process," Therrien said. "He showed a great second effort to stay with the puck going up against a very good defenceman in (Dmitry Kulikov)." Bourque said it best: "There's a reason why he's playing with us and he's only 19 years old. He's very skilled." Galchenyuk has eight points on the year.
