Callahan, Rangers haven't made much progress
Ryan Callahan - W - New York Rangers
July 26, 2011 - 6:10 PM ET

According to Steve Bartlett, Ryan Callahan's agent, has sent a contract proposal to the New York Rangers, but the two sides haven't made much progress.

Callahan and the Rangers have an arbitration hearing scheduled for Thursday, so the two sides are almost out of time. That being said, the Rangers went right down to the wire with Brandon Dubinsky before they finally inked him to a four-year/$16.8 million deal. We wouldn't dismiss the possibility of Callahan also signing at the 11th hour.
